Time to Vote

Published under United States Sep 24, 2018

he U.S. has one of the lowest voter turnout rates in the developed world, and one of the most common reasons that people give for not voting is an inflexible work schedule. This Election Day, KIND Snacks is proud to participate in the #TimetoVote campaign. On November 6, no meetings or conference calls will be held at KIND after 3pm to create time for our team members to exercise their right to vote.

Shana Tova

“Being decent is not necessarily easy. It takes strength and courage. It is not just about being nice. It means doing things that make you and your interests vulnerable.”

Excellent Rosh Hashana sermon by Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove.

KIND Team Day of Service

Published under Do the KIND Thing, KIND Sep 14, 2018

Yesterday afternoon we closed our offices, and the entire KIND Snacks team went out to give back in their local communities. I am proud of our team, not just for taking the time to volunteer, but for the care and compassion with which they served their community members. I was fortunate to visit two organizations - AHRC New York City where we did art projects with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and ACE New York Programs for the Homeless where we did interview prep. Thank you to all of our Day of Service organizations for your warm hospitality and the incredible work that you do.

Kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month at last night’s Hispanic Heritage Foundation award ceremony. Loved celebrating luminaries from the community and their enterprising spirit!

Sounds like my family! We also adapted Jewish holiday dishes to incorporate Mexican flavors, turning gefilte fish into a warm red snapper delicacy in a spicy red Veracruzana sauce.
