Khaled Diab wrote a nice article about OneVoice‘s Imagine 2018 project, asking Palestinian and Israeli kids to visualize what their lives will look like in 10 years IF a peace agreement is achieved between Israel and Palestine.

Some will criticize this as Shimon Peres’s much-discounted "New Middle East" vision, but I love it, and I am confident that if Israelis and Palestinians get their act together and accept the historical compromises necessary to a comprehensive permanent agreement, this will only be the beginning. Check out this vision for the future of the Arava, intersecting Israel, Jordan and Palestine.  It fits nicely within OneVoice’s Imagine 2018 Project.

James Montague from The Guardian newspaper just posted an article about Eytan Heller’s vision for Israel and Palestine to co-host the World Soccer Cup in 2018, an idea which so far has already spawned OneVoice’s Imagine 2018 Campaign.

This episode of the Colbert Report is hilarious. Reporting on the news that fruit overtook cookies as the #1 snack for kids over 6, they note:

It’s an outrage that cookies are no longer the number one snack for children under six. Fruit is un-American.

Epicurious, the blog that is an institution among foodies (published by Conde Nast, which also guides Gourmet and Bon Appetit Magazines), ranked KIND as one of the best products they tasted at the 54th Annual Fancy Food Show in NYC.  It was the only product in the snack bar category that got such mention.  Here is what they said about KIND PLUS, our new line:

Still made with natural ingredients you can actually see and pronounce, these tasty KIND nutrition bars are now enhanced with antioxidants, calcium, protein, and omega-3s. We couldn’t get enough of the tropical Mango Macadamia with calcium and the Cranberry & Almond with antioxidants.

Today felt like an incomplete Sunday, without Tim Russert, the giant political anchor of Meet the Press who passed away on Monday.  As a story in the New York Times observed, politicians coveted the "victorious trial by fire" that would come if they survived Russert’s tough but fair questions.  His tenacity was rare.  He will be missed.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and His Majesty King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein are among the most impressive leaders I’ve ever met.  Almost a decade before other dignitaries started realizing that the challenges we face are not between religions or between nations, but between philosophies of tolerance versus philosophies of extremism, Queen Rania and King Abdullah were already spreading this message, consistently, always on point, always ahead of the game, always as an inspiration to OneVoice.

Now Queen Rania is also at the cutting edge of diplomatic communication and efforts to build global understanding, having launched a webpage on Youtube.  Before you visit her webpage, you can also listen to her welcome clip.

We need more leaders like her.
